Our mission
Doing our part to make homes warmer, safer, and drier with Appalachia Service Project.
Katonah ASP is a local chapter of Appalachia Service Project, or ASP, a non-governmental organization founded in 1969. ASP addresses substandard housing using volunteer labor to perform repairs in Central Appalachia. Our youth and adult volunteers create connections with each other and the those we serve, while providing impactful changes to people's home and their lives at no cost to the homeowner.
Our goals for this year:
Who we are
The Katonah chapter of Appalachia Service Project has participated in over 25 years of ASP volunteer trips. Comprised of youth and adult volunteers from all over Westchester and Putnam counties, our group is non-denominational and inclusive.
A week on ASP is an eye-opening experience that exposes you to another community and culture that exists outside of our daily life encounters.
